Unfortunately, insects take such times as opportunities to aggravate you. No one wants to deal with the mosquitoesticks, and stinging insects that are known to be a nuisance.

Therefore, it is important for you and your loved ones to use insect repellent for protection.

How to Correctly use Insect Repellent

Yes, there is a right and a wrong way to use bug spray and insect repellent. We have put together these step by step directions to help you ensure that you’re accurately using the product. If you don’t follow these steps, your repellent likely won’t be as effective.

⭐ Follow the application directions on the label.

⭐ Shake the repellent thoroughly to make sure it has been mixed well.

⭐ If you are using sunscreen, apply the sunscreen first. Note that the combination will affect how effective the repellent is.

⭐ Apply the repellent thoroughly and be careful to avoid open wounds and cuts. If you are using a spray repellent hold between 6-8 inches from the skin.

⭐ Use your hands to apply repellent to your face to keep it out of your nose and eyes.

⭐ Spray over your clothes because some pests can bite through clothing.

⭐ Most importantly reapply the repellent as often as the product label instructs. This will help you stay protected throughout the day.
