Ants are a very common household problem; they create outdoor nests and are drawn to homes while foraging for food and water sources. Once they find easy access to food and water, they will continue to return until the food is gone or they are stopped! The best way to control ants and other common household pests like clover mites, box elder bugs, stink bugs, and mice is to put in place a year-round pest control service. Year-round pest protection means that current problems with ants and other pests are eliminated and future pest problems are prevented.

Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System
The Sentricon® system is non-invasive (no digging or trenching require), environmentally friendly, and extremely successful at eliminating termite infestation in both homes and businesses. Here’s how the system works. We place bait stations around your property that are filled with a very small amount of bait (grams). The foraging termites are attracted to the bait, ingest it, and bring the bait back to the colony, eliminating all members- including the queen.
This service includes: An inspection, the installation of the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System, the continuous monitoring for new termite activity, and regular maintenance on Sentricon® Systems.
Liquid treatment Option
Liquid treatment is the more conventional treatment option when it comes to termite control. American Pest uses the highly effective Altriset® to eliminate termites through the liquid barrier treatment method. Treatment begins by digging a trench around the foundation of your home or business, the liquid Altriset® is then introduced into the soil. Invading termites will come into direct contact with the treated soil and will bring it back to the colony eliminating its members.
Many pests are a nuisance to have living in and around your home and can be extremely difficult get rid of, but they aren’t really a danger to you or the structure of your home. Other pests are very dangerous to have invading your property and/or home; ticks are an example of a dangerous pest. Not only do they feed on blood from you and your pets, but they also carry and transmit a host of serious diseases including Lyme disease.
Lyme disease is caused by the corkscrew shaped bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi; the longer the tick is attached to its host the greater chance that they will become infected with Lyme disease. In general, if a tick is removed before 24 hours it reduces the chance of the host becoming infected with Lyme disease. Early signs of Lyme disease mimic the flu. A bulls-eye rash can develop on the infected person, but this is not always the case. Lyme disease is a serious disease that can be treated, but complete recovery cannot be guaranteed.
To begin controlling ticks on your Catonsville, Maryland, property our professional will provide an inspection to determine where ticks are hiding and breeding. Then once a month for a period of 6-7 months when ticks are active, American Pest’s tick control experts provide safe and effective treatment services to limit their numbers on your property.
