TAKOMA PARK, MD — November 12, 2009 — American Pest Management  recently donated installation and service of the SENTRICON® Termite Colony Elimination Systemto help protect two properties donated to a family and a nonprofit organization through the television show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Dow AgroSciences, manufacturer of the SENTRICON System, donated the components for the termite baiting system.

One of the properties is the site of a new home for a deserving family, active in its community of Hyattsville, Md., and the other is a newly constructed building to house The Fishing School, a youth development group in Washington, D.C.

“We are honored to be a part of this group effort,” says Paul Bergmann, director of residential services for American Pest Management  “We feel protecting the properties from the threat of subterranean termites is important to the ongoing success of the Tripp family and The Fishing School. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity to serve our community.”

Introduced to the market nearly 15 years ago, numerous innovations over the years have helped maintain the SENTRICON System as the No. 1 brand in subterranean termite protection.1 The SENTRICON System is environmentally responsible2 and is the only termite control product ever to receive the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, which recognizes technical innovation that incorporates the principles of green chemistry into design, manufacture and use.
